Healing the Whole Parent™ is PPFCEN's signature trauma-informed parent education program designed to strengthen families by supporting the well-being, confidence, and growth of parents and caregivers. Through guided learning, meaningful reflection, and practical strategies, participants gain tools to build healthier relationships with their children and create more connected, resilient families.
The program recognizes that when parents are supported, children benefit. By investing in the whole parent, we help create stronger homes and healthier communities.
Healing the Whole Parent™ was created to address an important reality: parents often receive guidance on raising children but rarely receive support for their own healing, personal growth, and well-being.
Many parents are navigating stress, trauma, changing family dynamics, and the daily demands of caregiving while doing their best to raise healthy, thriving children. This program was developed to provide a safe, supportive environment where parents can learn practical skills, reflect on their experiences, and strengthen their ability to parent with confidence and intention.
Healing the Whole Parent™ is designed for parents, caregivers, grandparents raising grandchildren, foster parents, kinship caregivers, and other adults who play a significant role in a child's life.
Whether you are a first-time parent or have years of parenting experience, the program offers practical tools and meaningful support for anyone committed to strengthening their family relationships.
Healing the Whole Parent™ goes beyond traditional parenting classes by recognizing that effective parenting begins with supporting the adult behind the parent.
Rather than focusing only on child behavior, the program explores how personal experiences, stress, emotional well-being, relationships, and self-awareness influence parenting. Participants gain practical strategies they can apply immediately while learning alongside others in a supportive, judgment-free environment.
Parents are often the foundation of their families. When parents have opportunities to grow, heal, and develop healthy coping strategies, they are better equipped to respond to challenges, build stronger relationships, and create nurturing environments where children can thrive.
Healing the Whole Parent™ is built on the belief that strengthening parents is one of the most powerful ways to strengthen families and improve outcomes for children.
Healing the Whole Parent™ is designed to provide practical tools and meaningful support that you can begin using right away. Throughout the program, you'll explore strategies that strengthen both your confidence as a parent and the relationships within your family.
Healing the Whole Parent™ is a 10-week, in-person parent education program that combines practical learning, guided discussion, personal reflection, and real-life application. Each session is designed to build upon the previous one, creating a supportive learning experience that encourages growth, connection, and lasting change.
